The government has published the first list of premises flagged as potential Covid-19 hotspots that were identified through the Hotspots Identification for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE).
The publication of the list, said Khairy, will also serve as a guideline for owners and operators to take precautionary measures to protect and prevent their premises from becoming a source of Covid-19 outbreak.
“For the past seven days, the country recorded 23,712 new Covid-19 cases while the coronavirus case referrals to the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) has increased by 21 per cent compared to last week,” he said in a statement today.
Most of the premises flagged as Covid-19 hotspots by HIDE are located in Selangor followed by Kuala Lumpur, Johor, Penang, Sarawak, Sabah, Putrajaya, Perak, Kelantan as well as one each in Melaka and Negri Sembilan.
