Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS) today announced the appointment of Mohd Sabirin Mohd Sarbini as its new chief executive officer, effective April 1, 2022.
In a statement today, LZS said Mohd Sabirin has extensive experience of close to three decades in diverse fields, including management, administration, finance, investment and entrepreneurship.
He has been part of the LZS senior management team for more than 13 years.
His most recent position was the head of the distribution division at LZS, and before that, he was the head of the collection division.
He also managed business zakat for sole proprietors and entrepreneurs, companies, government-linked companies, and public listed companies.
“I look forward to working together with the Trustees and management team of LZS to drive growth in both zakat collection and distribution while spearheading operational efficiencies, transparency and integrity to serve the Muslim community and stakeholders,” Mohd Sabirin said.
Trustees of LZS welcomed Mohd Sabirin from within the ranks to continue upholding the institution’s responsibilities of providing professional services with integrity to the Muslim community and stakeholders.
