Malaysia’s vaccination rate has exceeded that of many other countries, including the United Kingdom.
In sharing a screenshot of vaccination rates collated by Oxford University’s “Our World in Data”, Covid-19 National Immunisation Programme (NIP) Coordinating Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on his Instagram wrote: “Our vaccination rate has exceeded that of the UK when they were at their peak.”
The graph showed the rolling seven-day average of vaccine doses administered per 100 people in the total population (for vaccines that require multiple doses, each individual dose is counted).
As of July 9, Malaysia had on average administered 0.96 doses per 100 people.
A total 324,745 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were dispensed yesterday (July 10), bringing the overall number of vaccine doses administered nationwide to 11,075,493. – NST ONLINE
