The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop) has appointed Datuk Mohd Irwan Mohd Mubarak as the new chairman of Bank Rakyat effective from today (Feb 2).
“KUSKOP is fully confident in his qualifications, experience, and credibility to carry out the responsibilities and support Bank Rakyat’s mission and vision in continuing to aid the cooperative and entrepreneurial ecosystem in line with the aspirations of Malaysia Madani,” Ewon said in a statement.
Irwan, with over 21 years of experience in litigation, corporate and company law, and compliance management, was appointed as a director of the board of Bank Rakyat on July 24, 2020.
“This will place Bank Rakyat on the right path to achieve sustainable performance while delivering the best customer experience,” added Mohammad Hanis. – NST ONLINE
